After the success of her first Assamese animation film, Xarbagunakor Sankardeva, based on the life of the saint, critically acclaimed filmmaker Manju Borah is now planning her second Assamese animation film, Burhar Po Shri Shri Madhabdev, based on the life of Vaishnavite saint Madhabdev.
Madhav was a disciple of Vaishnavite saint Srimanta Sankardev.
Producer of the film, Sanjive Narain, told reporters here in a press conference on Thursday that they have planned to make the film under the banner of A Am television with an aim to promote the ideology of Madhabdev.
Filmmaker Bora has penned the script of the film as well. While Borah will be directing the film and has written its script, its music is by Tarali Sharma.
Producer Narayan further said, “The shooting of the movie will be started very soon. After the positive response of the first animated movie, we have planned to make the second animated movie.”
Xarbagunakor Sankardeva was screened in London, Dubai and it will also be screened very soon in Toronto.
Borah said that the work on the script has already started and she will try her best to offer some new perspectives.
“The first animated movie took one and half year to complete so this time we will try to complete it by one year,” she said, “I will try to complete the whole story within 90 minutes. Making an animated movie is not as easy as feature film. And I believe people of Assam will like it.”
